VOTE Nov. 6, 2012

What will be your decision, America?

On November 6, 2012, we have the American duty of our citizenship to vote. We must look honestly within ourselves and at our candidates running for office as to which one will lead our country to a better future.

Things in our world and in our own country today seem so uncertain. The political salesmen will be presenting us, The United States of America, with their ideas, views, plans, past records and experiences over the next weeks ahead. I challenge you to be and become an active listener, a responsive voter and a good citizen.

The challenges facing America are real and they are here and now. I don't yet know whom you will vote for, but I whole-heartedly encourage everyone of you that are legally eligible to get out and vote on November 6, 2012!

Why all the Worry?

from an email I recieved...

Obama - Biden
Aaron --

Congressman Paul Ryan is the poster boy for the extreme Republican leadership in a Congress whose overall approval rating is 12 percent. His plan to dismantle Medicare is deeply unpopular with the general public, and especially undecided voters.

You might be wondering why the hell Romney picked this guy. But this is a strategic pick that carries real danger for us.

Here's the calculation: Mitt Romney doesn't need or expect Paul Ryan to convince even one undecided voter to cast their ballot for him. That's not what he's on the ticket for. He's there to reassure and inspire ultraconservative ideologues and corporate interests that they will have one of their own a heartbeat from the presidency.

That means tens or even hundreds of millions more dollars for the Romney campaign and the array of outside groups supporting him -- and if current trends hold, more than 90 percent of that money will be spent on TV ads -- lying, distorting and trashing Barack Obama. Those ads will have more impact on undecided voters than anything Paul Ryan himself does or says.

Mitt Romney is convinced that picking Paul Ryan is a great investment for him. And his campaign is already touting the pledges and donations they've received as a result, with fundraising events planned for this week.

We're already being outraised, and we can't afford to fall further behind. Our records show that you're still waiting to make your first online donation -- now is the time.

Please donate $5 or more today:

...I think this is a pretty good tell all that the Obama campaign is worried about money, Romeny and the American vote overall. What do you think?

I Wear Glasses...and it's OK!

As you may or may not know, I wear glasses. My work requires that I not wear glasses while on the job therefore I have to purchase contact lenses. It has been a challenge to learn how to put them in and take them out. Also, keeping the lenses clean has been a fun task.

I still like to wear my glasses in the evening and on the weekends when I am not working. Letting my eyes get a break from the contacts is a good thing for my eye health too, I think? My glasses are an extension of my face and truly capture who I am within my personality. How about you?

Do you wear glasses and are your glasses a fashionable accent of your personality?

Recently, we heard that those that drink coffee are 'less likely to die.' We thought that was GREAT news! Now, you can live longer and if you need a bandaid you can put that in your cup each morning
too! Who would've thought?

Spinach is Good For You

We enjoyed a nice grilled chicken salad at home with spinach. Yummy and healthy all in one big bowl.

Fresh Fruit Pudding

My wife made a deliscious fresh fruit pudding using french vanilla pudding mixed with melted white chocolate and whipped cream. Yummy enough? Then she added vanilla wafers, orange juice, kiwi and strawberries. We ate so much and yet barely made a dent in the bowl. Good news is there is more to eat tomorrow.

We love when Mommy gets creative!
